On 24 October 2015, we celebrated the first ever Apple Day in Whitchurch & Hengrove!
Not put off by rain, over 300 people attended a day of apple pressing, artist workshops, foraging walks, local food and music.
We learned to press apples & drank fresh juice with National Trust Leigh Wood, walked on the wild side with forager Steve England, tasted home cooking from The Garlic Farm Field Kitchen & Whitchurch WI, children got creative in artist-led workshops, apple cakes were judged in a bake-off competition, and the Acousticians played a wonderful folk soundtrack throughout the day.
Help us plant the Orchard on Wed 25 & Thur 26 November. No experience necessary. Let us know you're coming by emailing: futureperfectbristol@gmail.com
